The Prince George’s Film Festival – Take 3 is set to open in style with a Red Carpet Opening Night Film Screening and Reception on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at the Center for Performing Arts at Prince George’s Community College.
The evening promises to be a grand affair, featuring the highly anticipated screening of “Albany Road” followed by a talkback conversation with the film’s producer, Emmy-Award Winner, Michael Swanson and esteemed actress and cast member Lisa Arrindell.
The night begins at 5:30 PM with Red Carpet Arrivals and a festive Opening Night Reception. Mingle with filmmakers, industry professionals, and fellow film lovers while enjoying an unforgettable evening dedicated to celebrating the best of independent cinema.
At 7:00 PM, the festival’s Welcome Remarks will set the tone for an exciting weekend of film, followed by the Premiere Screening of Albany Road at 7:30 PM. Directed by Christine Swanson, Albany Road stars Renee Elise Goldsberry and Lynn Whitfield in a gripping drama that follows a New York executive who shares a rental car with her ex-fiancé's mother during bad weather. The film has already made waves at major film festivals and will be a highlight of this year’s Prince George’s Film Festival.
